Happy Go Lucky (HGL) is a consultancy helping brands expand into new global markets. They approached me to design and develop a new website that would serve as their global storefront and portfolio showcase.
With a background in the fashion industry, their goal was to reach beyond fashion and connect with broader business audiences in tech, retail, and e-commerce. Therefore the website needed to appear tasteful and sophisticated while also speaking to diverse industries like tech, retail, and e-commerce.
The challenges:
Balancing an elegant design with corporate clarity
Communicating a complex business model within seconds of landing on the site (targeting a time-poor business audience)
Making the UX conversion-friendly and urging a visitor to connect
Reflecting HGL’s positioning as both creative and business-driven.
I designed a lean, minimal layout with a split-page structure that balances clarity with a distinct visual identity. The website showcases HGL’s offering and case studies through a guided user journey, helping potential clients quickly identify how HGL can support their expansion into new markets.
On the technical side, the site includes:
Four main pages: Home, About, Projects, and Contact
Full localisation with English and Chinese versions
CMS integration for easy content changes
Personal account login functionality for potential clients
Responsive design carefully translates the desired aesthetic from desktop to mobile
